RAISING VOICE FOR CHILDREN

A CRY FOR THE HELPLESS CHILDREN

If I decide to keep my view to the ugliness in my country and how it has affect the state of childhood in my country then exploding angrily will be an understatement.

Like how would children become nuisance on the streets, can Nigeria get any worse?!.

I vividly remember going back home from my church years back, I was on my way home by the road side when I saw a very little boy, definitely not up to 5years of age sitting with his head and arms on his knees,  I couldn't tell what was going on with him, I wasn't sure if he was sleeping, because he was way too still for sleeping with flies perching on him, "Is he dead"?, "can he please look for somewhere else to rest"?, "This place is way too dangerous for him",...I kept asking myself series of questions, different thoughts coming into my head, I felt sad for him, I wanted to tap him but I didn't have the courage to, I looked at him again closely then I looked at other children around, some begging, some running after vehicles to sell petty things on the express, while some carry heavy things on their head to probably deliver

I felt so down, sad, furious and most of all helpless which annoyed me more.

Till date as we speak, children, teenagers & Youths are really becoming nuisances on the streets, in their homes & in every place you could think of, although to some point it's not really their fault, I really can't blame them, the government is just weak.
They have neglected their responsibilities toward their (the) Citizens which involves the children, they are not being taken care of at all and it saddens me.

Even if the government is not doing the needful to give the children an opportunity to establish themselves then I believe there's nothing wrong in taking it upon ourselves!
To everyone out there! Both young and old let's rise up to help this children, the fact that you're not in their position means you should be really grateful to GOD, and the fact that you're living a better life than them doesn't mean you're way better. Most of these children don't have parents nor any relative, they only depend on begging and many of us are in our comfort zones cruising as they call it, while these children suffer. You don't need to look for them, they're everywhere, let's help them, don't wait till a man of GOD ask you to give to the needy just because of a problem you're facing before you give to them, GIVE NOW! HELP WHILE YOU CAN...

Let's help out children, they're not just the leaders of tomorrow! They are the upcoming generation!Think about it!!

  1. Wonderful write up indeed! Even if the Government isn't doing anything to help those in need, especially the children roaming these streets, if we each of us take up the role of helping one child each, we would have gone a long way to save a lot of lives
