YOUR TONGUE
I am sure most of us have being told that the tongue is powerful, yet we tend to be nonchalant about it. Well it's very true that the tongue is powerful and indeed dangerous.
Most of the problems we face at times and the challenges that come by us are as a result of the misuse of our tongue, in the sense that, we say negative things and these words, most times, come to pass.
It's normal to get angry, it's even legal and acceptable to be angry, but we still ought to be very careful on how we use our tongue during our emotional moments, because even that same tongue can come back to haunt you, YES YOU.
When we are angry, we are obviously not in our right state of mind, and the moment anger takes over you, you get controlled by it and that makes you do or say things irrationally, except if you're emotionally intelligent, but nevertheless avoid negative words coming from you to someone
"Words said are like eggs, once it drops, it can never be molded back to the way it initially was. It's also just like a glass that falls to the ground, once it's shattered, that's all, it can't be fixed back, the scars still remains.
So ask yourself;
"Who have you put into a situation because of your anger?"
"What harm have you brought to yourself because of anger, be it physically, emotionally, whatever area"
Our words are very delicate and goes just beyond saying them ordinarily with our tongue.
That's how we all get affected by our negative words, your words could either make or destroy. It could even bounce back to you in a way and affect your loved ones too, because most times we tend to create a trap for "ourselves" and fall into it "ourselves", It's not every situation you respond to, it's better to stay quiet than to talk and regret it.
This is a wonderful write-up..
ReplyDeleteMany times we get so carried away in our emotions, especially anger, that we don't see, hear or feel the amount of hurt we've caused to other people or even ourselves by our own anger-driven speech..
This is just Beautiful!
Keep it up!
